Central Valley Ag - East Grain Fertilizer Terminal, Oakland, NE
Design/detailing for prestressed IT300 bridge, 71’ 3-Span
City of Omaha – Q Street Noise Walls (162nd – 165th), Omaha, NE
Performed structural design for the noise wall from approximately station 498+75 to 512+25. Design was based on NDOR standards, but modified to account for up to 4.5’ of retained earth. Provisions were incorporated for drainage of the backfill and for a drainage structure near station 508+00. Subsequently, precast detailing of the noise wall was performed for American Precast Products Co.

Design/detailing for 32.5” prestressed deep double tee bridge, 170’ 3-Span
Bryan LGH East Medical Office Building, Lincoln, NE
Design of precast structural elements for a six story medical center. The structure utilizes precast columns, beams, and hollow-core floor elements. The precast frame is used as the lateral resisting system in lieu of the more traditional use of shear walls. Shop drawings were also prepared.
Nebraska Public Power District Double Tee Bridges, Lincoln & Keith Counties, NE
35” deep Double Tee shop drawings for two new three-span bridges.
Bennington Lake (Newport Landing), Bennington, NE
Final design of two 105 ft. single-span, prestressed concrete girder (NU1100) bridges over Bennington Lake. Precast concrete panels were utilized to provide a stone arch appearance.
Perry Creek Flood Protection Conduit, Sioux City, IA
Value Engineering - Conduit Top Slab
This 51 ft wide and 1154 ft long flood protection conduit was originally designed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). On behalf of the contractor (Kiewit Western, Sioux City, IA) and with approval from the USACE, an alternate system for the conduit top slab was developed and designed by InfraStructure in order to eliminate the need for internal shoring. The system included precast concrete beams with up to a 12 ft girder spacing and incorporated a prefabricated stay-in-place deck system with a cast-in-place topping.
Girder Repair and Structural Integrity Review, BNSF Abbott to Michael, Cairo, NE
Precast/prestressed concrete girder damage and subsequent repairs on BNSF Railroad Bridge Nos. 105.67, 106.6, 107.65, and 108.84 on the Abbott to St. Michael Line in Cairo, NE were investigated. Girder production and bridge erection was investigated to determine the cause of the damage to the girders. The structural integrity of the repaired girders was certified.
Con-Force Structures Limited – Various Projects, Vancouver, BC, Canada
InfraStructure has also been retained on several occasions to provide system optimization and value-engineering services. One of the optimized designs, had it been selected, would have saved the precaster about $300,000. Although the steel alternate was eventually selected, the increased competition resulted in $600,000 savings to the City of Edmonton. InfraStructure also investigated the stability (during lifting, transporting, and erecting) of a record 213’ long, 134 ton, single precast/prestressed concrete girder for the Bow River Bridge in Calgary, Canada. InfraStructure also consulted with the precaster on optimizing the section and provided expertise in production related issues.
